Umbigolina Goiabenta’s Wedding - Cia Buffa de Teatro/Bottega Buffa CircoVacanti

Umbigolina is a clown that, in spite of her red nose, suffers because of a feeling that is part of our human condition: loneliness. To fill this emptiness (and overcome it), she creates her own tales, bringing situations into life, acting imaginary roles, friends and companions. In a deep dreamlike atmosphere, she is surprised by herself starring in a musical concert and being recognized as a diva. However, an uncontrollable coughing attack gives a disconcerting end to the concert. Inspired by the world of Samuel Beckett’s characters, the performance needs no words to enrich or explain its scenes of lyricism and absurd.
