And What's a Clown  - photo Bruna Prado

In a playful and poetic way, this theater-circus show takes us back to the magic of traditional circus through one of its most famous performers: the clown. The couple Café Pequeno and Currupita comes to town with their huge baggage. While Currupita carries the bags, Café Pequeno announces the fantastic, phenomenal, extraordinary show of the day, triggering the beginning of a hilarious potpourri of classic scenes from the ring, such as O Cinegrafista (The Cinematographer), O Palhaço Apaixonado (A Clown in Love), As Lavadeiras (The Washerwoman) and O Poema (The Poem).

Off-Sina is a theater-circus street company, which has continuously developed researches on popular theater and the art of laughter, focusing on clownery and comedy. Throughout their 25 years of existence, the troupe has performed in the

streets and squares of towns far from big urban areas, such as Cabaceiras, in the interior of the state of Paraíba, and Jequié, in the interior of the state of Bahia. They have performed to an audience of about 2.440.000 people.
